CRUISE HOLIDAYS HOSTED CRUISE PROGRAM FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

1.      What happens if the hosted cruise program amenities are cancelled?
If the hosted cruise program amenities are cancelled due to the minimum amount of cabins not sold by Cruise Holidays locations, Cruise Holidays (confirmations@travelleaders.com) will email each agency that has a booking in the group to inform them.  A substitution of an amenity (such as a shipboard credit) will take place in lieu of the concierge host, cocktail party and exclusive shore event. If a substitution must be made Cruise Holidays and Travel Leaders Group strives to make this decision at least 60 days prior to sailing.

2.      Are the hosted cruise program amenities combinable with other discounts / groups / amenities?
Please review the Booking Instructions for specific details for each cruise line. As soon as this program is completely launched, all hosted cruise program sailings can be found via the Search All Inventory function in CruiseWeb. The booking instructions can be viewed for each sailing in CruiseWeb. Additionally, we suggest calling the cruise line to confirm at the time of booking as new offers are launched by the cruise lines all of the time. If you have set up your own agency group on a sailing, it is not combinable with the hosted cruise program sailing in all cases except Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Any bookings made under the American Express Platinum promotion are not eligible to receive hosted cruise program amenities.

3.      When will my client find out about the exclusive shore excursion?
The booking agency can provide information on the exclusive shore excursion their client at the time of booking.  Details on each shore event are located on http://www.thechbridge.com/. Specific details, departure time and date will be emailed to each booking agency approximately 2 weeks prior to departure. Once onboard, your client will receive a letter delivered to their room with details of the Exclusive Shore Event and an invitation to the Private Cocktail Reception. In addition, the Concierge Host will call all the guests to introduce themselves and will review the shore excursion details and meeting point of the cocktail reception.

4.      How is the Exclusive Shore Event determined?
Many factors are taken into consideration when planning the Exclusive Shore Events: overall itinerary, former guest feedback on past Exclusive Shore Events, the exclusivity of the excursion, budget, activity level, "must see” attractions, and what would appeal to a wide range of age groups.

5.      Are the hosted cruise program Exclusive Shore Events private?
The Exclusive Shore Events are only available to the members in our group. With Norwegian Cruise Line the descriptions are sometimes similar to what they offer to the general public, but we add extras to our shore excursion to make them special for your clients.

6.      If my client is doing a back to back and one of the sailings is a hosted cruise program date, will they receive the amenities?
For Regent, passengers on back to backs can be included in the hosted cruise program group as long as the promotion has been applied to the booking for the applicable segment. Agents must ask for their clients to be in the group.  Crystal passengers on back to backs can be included in the hosted cruise program group as long as the agent asks for their client to be included by mailto:vacationvignettes@vacation-corp.com

7.      What if I have already booked my client and then I find out there is a hosted cruise, can I put them in the group?
For Celebrity – all eligible bookings are automatically pulled into the hosted cruise program group by the cruise line. On Regent and Crystal, you can call the cruise line after the booking is made and add the hosted cruise program promo code to the booking. On any other cruise line, contact the cruise line to see if clients can be pulled into the group. With Norwegian the promotion must be added at time of booking. For Royal Caribbean you must complete a form for each booking online. The Registration Form can be found here: http://fs7.formsite.com/vcom/RCIVVReg/index.html.

8.      Where do I find out more about the Hosted Cruise program sailings?
On www.TheCHBridge.com there is a page dedicated to the Cruise Holidays hosted cruise program for information about the program. Once all hosted cruise program sailings have been added to CruiseWeb, and new sailings added on an on-going basis, please access the details of each via the Search All Inventory function.

9.      I have a group on a hosted cruise program departure.  Is it eligible for the hosted cruise program amenities?
Only with Regent Seven Seas Cruises can groups be combined.  On Crystal Cruises you can move your clients into the group but you would forfeit any amenities you currently have for your group. On Celebrity or Royal Caribbean International, to be eligible for the hosted cruise program amenities you would have to cancel your group and rebook at the eligible FIT rate.  With Celebrity, Norwegian, and Royal Caribbean International, the hosted cruise program group is not an official group so you as an agency would not earn TC’s.

10.   I called regular reservations at Celebrity and Royal Caribbean International and they do not know anything about a hosted cruise program group.
There is no official group on Celebrity or Royal Caribbean sailings.  The hosted cruise program departures are organized on a National Account level.  This means that when you call the cruise line reservation number, they will not have a record of the hosted cruise program amenities or "group” in their system. For Celebrity, as long as the passenger is booked under the correct category and pricing code they are automatically included. For Royal Caribbean, as long as the passenger is booked under the correct category and pricing code and the registration form (see above) is completed they are included.

11.   How can I be sure my clients are in the hosted cruise program group on a Celebrity cruise?
As long as you follow the booking instructions your clients will automatically be included in the group. If you want to double check please send passenger name, booking number, sailing date and ship details to vacationvignettes@vacation-corp.com to inquire. It may take a week or two to get a confirmation since reporting is updated every other week. If a passenger is rebooked under a new price code the booking may become ineligible.  Please check the booking instructions.

12.   Will I receive a confirmation that my clients are in the hosted cruise program group?
With Regent and Crystal your client’s booking should have the group code noted on the booking.  Two to four weeks prior to sailing Cruise Holidays will send a reminder email to the main contact on record in your agency (usually owner/manager). If you are not the main contact please ask them to be on the lookout for the email and forward that to you.

13.   Only the 1st and 2nd passengers receive the hosted cruise program amenities. What about my clients traveling with a 3rd and/or a 4th passenger in the cabin?
We may be able to include the 3rd and 4th passengers in the hosted cruise program group but there will be an additional cost. For Norwegian 3rd and 4th passengers can be added once onboard directly through the shore excursion desk.  They will be charged the net cost of the shore excursion to their onboard account.  Guests can approach the group’s Concierge Host onboard for assistance. For all other cruise suppliers Travel Leaders Group utilizes a third party company and guests will pay them directly.  This can be done in advance or once on board with the assistance of the Concierge Host.  Please inquire for additional guests, with passenger name, booking number, sail date and ship at vacationvignettes@vacation-corp.com and you will be forwarded a credit card authorization form to submit payment.

14.   Where can I find the hosted cruise program group codes?
You can find the group codes on the spreadsheet of hosted cruises which has been uploaded to the dedicated page on http://www.thechbridge.com/. Details of each departure will also be available in CruiseWeb (use the Search All Inventory function and look for the CHDV special on each applicable sailing).

15.   Can I earn a TC on a hosted cruise program sailing?
For Cruise Holidays hosted cruise program, earning TCs varies by cruise line.  You can earn a TC with Crystal and Regent on dates in the program if a Cruise Holidays location books the required number of staterooms for a TC. Stores: Please work with the cruise line directly to secure your TC; Virtual Offices: please contact Cruise Holidays Support Services for assistance in claiming a TC. Standard TC thresholds apply and minimums are listed below.  With Crystal and Regent, the agency earns the TC and is paid directly by the supplier. Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian are not official groups so neither Cruise Holidays nor the agency earns a TC.
